Walgreens sponsors life-saving training to honor Rep. Giffords

Walgreen Co. this weekend plans to sponsor American Red Cross life-saving training events at over 100 drug stores nationwide. To be held Saturday, March 19, the events are in honor of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and those involved in the shooting in Tucson, Ariz., Walgreens said.

Drugstore.com has partnered with Parents Deals, a new web site from Parents.com, to offer discounts on baby, children’s and family personal care products. The online retailer said Wednesday that it’s providing a 33% discount on a total value Parents Deals shopping card.
