SEATTLE — Bartell Drugs next week plans to hold its Health & Beauty Event, which will feature health screenings, cosmetics demonstrations, hair care tips and product samples.
The Seattle-area drug store said the event, which runs March 21 to April 3 at select locations in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties, will include health clinics, free beauty "mini makeover" demonstrations, hair-styling tips, and product samplings ranging from cosmetics to specialty foods and candy.
Health screenings will also include mobile digital mammography screenings, which began this week and are being offered through April 8 at 16 Bartell stores in tandem with Evergreen Hospital Medical Center.
Bartell said it will provide health screenings at 10 stores at no charge or at discounted fees. Services to be available include blood glucose testing, LifeScan OneTouch blood glucose meter exchange and meter education, cholesterol testing, bone density screenings for osteoporosis, blood pressure testing for hypertension, and more.
At 20 Bartell stores, cosmetologists will give "mini makeovers" showcasing the newest products from Revlon, L’Oreal and Maybelline. The makeovers will focus on the latest colors and products for spring, according to the retailer. Conair also will be hosting hair-styling demonstrations spotlighting the latest hair-styling tools and tips.
Product samples and coupons to be given away at participating stores include items from Nordic Naturals, Banana Boat, Colgate and Bio True, Bartell said.
