Two execs appointed at Rite Aid

Rite Aid Corp. has moved two executives into new positions. Senior vice president of strategic business development Chris Hall has become senior vice president of pharmacy business development.

CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid Corp. has moved two executives into new positions.

Senior vice president of strategic business development Chris Hall has become senior vice president of pharmacy business development.

Vice president of financial accounting and treasury Matt Schroeder, meanwhile, has been promoted to the role of group vice president of strategy and investor relations. In addition, he serves as the company’s treasurer, a position he has held since 2008.

The 45-year-old Hall has worked in retailing for more than two decades and has been with Rite Aid since 2000.

In his new position, he will be responsible for pharmaceutical purchasing analysis, strategy and execution; acquisitions; and retail pricing.

Hall will also oversee pharmacy program development, in-store clinics and patient compliance initiatives.

Schroeder, who also joined Rite Aid in 2000, is a certified public accountant who also serves as treasurer of the Rite Aid Foundation. Prior to joining Rite Aid Schroe­der worked for Arthur Andersen LLP.
