Perrigo releases Protopic authorized generic

Perrigo Co. plc has launched an authorized generic version of Protopic Ointment 0.1% and 0.03%. Perrigo said Monday that it has begun shipping its generic product to pharmacies. Protopic Ointment (tacrolimus), from Astellas U.S. LLC, is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe eczema.

McKesson to distribute generics to Omnicare

McKesson Corp. and Omnicare Inc. have expanded their distribution pact to include the sourcing and distribution of branded, specialty and generic pharmaceuticals. The companies said Monday that the new five-year distribution agreement extends to December 2019.
