WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy has revamped its website to offer consumers a more personalized experience plus more pharmacy and health care tools and information.

The drug chain said Thursday that the redesigned CVS.com now provides shoppers with a personalized home page, a "digital home" for its ExtraCare rewards program and a "pharmacy hub" offering a convenient online destination for managing prescriptions and health information.

The new CVS website offers personalized home pages, a "digital home" for the ExtraCare rewards card and a "pharmacy hub" for managing prescriptions.

Highlights of the relaunched CVS website include My Pharmacy, where shoppers can easily view all of their prescriptions and manage refills, and a Drug Information Center, where consumers can ensure that medications can be taken together and view descriptive images of each prescribed pill.

Backed by a deep layer of functionality, the new site enables shoppers to view a dashboard of their in-store and online shopping and savings history as well as send personalized digital offers to their ExtraCare card, CVS noted. In addition, all the features and functionality of CVS.com can be found in Spanish at http://es.cvs.com/.

"We’re committed to offering customers a highly personalized experience across all channels," Rob Price, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at CVS/pharmacy, said in a statement. "The new site brings pharmacy tools and expertise to our customers whenever and wherever they need it. The enhanced experience on CVS.com helps customers to find pertinent health information and simplifies prescription management to encourage adherence to medication therapy."

Shoppers logging into the site will see a personalized view of their CVS/pharmacy experience on the myCVS home page and be greeted with reminders and information related to their prescriptions, ExtraCare and shopping activity, according to CVS. The redesigned site also has dedicated tabs for CVS.com, CVS Photo and MinuteClinic. Drop-down menus for pharmacy, shopping, deals and ExtraCare also are designed to help shoppers navigate smoothly from the main home page.

Meanwhile, the new pharmacy page acts as a hub for more convenient management of health information. CVS pointed out that the page helps shoppers to not only remember to refill and pick up their prescriptions but also to collect the information they need about what’s in their medicine cabinet. Visitors also get access to a Drug Information Center to check for drug interactions and identify pills by shape, color and imprint.

Via the enhanced Prescription Center, customers can see their prescriptions available for refill or pickup; schedule future refills; see suggestions for saving time and money on prescriptions; view and manage an online Prescription Calendar, which CVS called a first in the industry; and enroll for text message notifications for prescription pickup.

At the dedicated ExtraCare page, ExtraCare cardholders can manage their shopping and savings at one online destination. Visitors can view their ExtraSavings and ExtraBucks Rewards and send ExtraBucks Rewards and select coupons straight to their card using the "Send to Card" digital savings option. Also, shoppers can access the new "deals hub" for more exclusive offers, such as "Deal of the Day" flash sales.

The ExtraCare page, too, provides consumers with guidance on how the program works, access to the CVS/pharmacy weekly ad and a "countdown" to quarterly ExtraBucks Rewards payouts.

"Saving money at CVS/pharmacy is even easier with a turbocharged ExtraCare dashboard, where customers can find personalized savings and incredible deals," Price added. "We are excited to bring our customers these digital innovations to save them time, money and to help them on their path to better health."
