Former Sears exec becomes Rexall’s CFO

Sharon Driscoll has joined Katz Group Canada Ltd., the operator of the Rexall and Rexall Pharma Plus pharmacy chains, as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Sharon Driscoll has joined Katz Group Canada Ltd., the operator of the Rexall and Rexall Pharma Plus pharmacy chains, as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Katz said Monday that Driscoll most recently served as senior vice president of finance and CFO at Sears Canada Inc.

In coming to the Rexall chain, she brings with over 25 years in strategic financial leadership in the retail sector, Katz noted. Before joining Sears, she held several senior-level positions at Loblaw Cos., including senior vice president of corporate development.

"Sharon’s more than two decades of retail leadership experience will make her a tremendous addition to the Rexall management team," Frank Scorpiniti, chief executive officer of Katz Group Canada, said in a statement.

"Throughout her career, Sharon has demonstrated a capacity to identify strategic growth opportunities as well as the ability to achieve efficiencies, and we are excited to have her continue that record of success as a member of our team," he added.

The chain drug retailer has 426 Rexall and Rexall Pharma Plus pharmacies across Canada.
