ARLINGTON, Va. — Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is slated to deliver an address at the NACDS Total Store Expo in August.

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores said Monday that Clinton will speak during the expo’s Business Program on the morning of Monday, Aug. 12.
The Total Store Expo will be held Aug. 10 to 13 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas. A new event, the expo will combine three NACDS meetings: the Supply Chain & Logistics Conference, the Marketplace Conference and the Pharmacy & Technology Conference
"Secretary Clinton will bring to the NACDS Total Store Expo firsthand insights on some of the most pressing issues facing the world and the nation today," NACDS president and chief executive officer Steve Anderson said in a statement. "Her remarks will help to deliver on a core promise, that the NACDS Total Store Expo will bring together diverse leaders who can help participants forecast the operating environment and take action together in new and exciting ways."
Clinton was the 67th secretary of state, serving from 2009 until 2013 under President Barack Obama after nearly four decades in public service. She was a Democratic senator for New York from 2001 to 2009 and, as the wife of President Bill Clinton, was the First Lady from 1993 to 2001.
In addition, Clinton was a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 2008 election, losing to Obama in the primary.
