SAN FRANCISCO – OLLY has launched Mochi Bites, a new supplement format that combines mochi’s texture with formulas for beauty, sleep, daily nutrition, and energy.
The new line is available exclusively at Target and OLLY.com and includes four varieties: Beauty, Sleep, Multi, and Energy. Each serving contains 1 gram or less of sugar, and the products are vegan, gluten-free, and contain no synthetic flavors or colors.
OLLY said the launch follows three years of product development and reflects growing consumer interest in mochi-inspired products. Citing Spate data, the company said interest in mochi-related products has increased 17.1% year over year, while interest on TikTok has risen 45.1%.
“After three years of development, our team has unlocked an entirely new experience that brings together the best of efficacy and delight,” said Punam Patel, OLLY’s chief product officer. “At OLLY, innovation always starts with science, and Mochi Bites pair evidence-based ingredients with a new vegan and vegetarian format with less than 1g of sugar per serving. We’re committed to giving consumers an elevated, effective way to support their everyday health and wellness goals without compromise.”
The Beauty formula contains biotin and vitamins C and E, and it comes in Strawberry Lychee flavor. Sleep combines 5 mg of melatonin with magnesium and comes in Starfruit Slumber flavor, while Multi contains 10 essential nutrients and comes in Tropical Passionfruit flavor. The caffeine-free Energy variety contains vitamins B12 and B6 and comes in Peach Green Tea flavor.
The 30-day supply retails for $17.99 and is available online and at Target stores nationwide.
OLLY is supporting the launch with a consumer campaign that includes a two-day event at Hudson Yards in New York City on Oct. 29 and 30, product sampling and a limited collaboration with nail care brand Chillhouse.
