Maine enacts law enabling prescription drug importation

Maine has become the first state to legalize the importation of prescription drugs by individuals. The bill, "An Act To Facilitate the Personal Importation of Prescription Drugs from International Mail Order Prescription Pharmacies," was enacted as an unsigned law on Thursday.

Walgreens brings new store format to Johns Hopkins

Walgreen Co. is developing a new store adjacent to the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore medical campus that the drug chain said will offer new health and wellness programs and services for students and staff, as well as area residents.
