Two execs move up at NACDS

ARLINGTON, Va. — National Association of Chain Drug Stores staff members Roy McGrath and Alex Adams have been promoted.

McGrath was named vice president of business development and conventions. He had been director of business development and conventions.

McGrath has served NACDS in a number of capacities since joining the organization in 1997, including manager of conference exhibits, and director of conference exhibits and registration.

His promotion comes at an important time for NACDS conference programming. In his new role, he will lead initiatives to drive business opportunities for NACDS meetings and conferences, including the inaugural Total Store Expo this August 10-13 in Las Vegas.

He will continue to advance initiatives to bring together trading partners across the industry, including pharmacy, consumer goods, supply chain, logistics and technology. He will continue to report to senior vice president of member programs and services Jim Whitman.

Adams was appointed vice president of pharmacy programs, and vice president of NACDS Foundation research programs. He had been director of pharmacy programs.

He will coordinate pharmacy programming initiatives to continue the momentum of NACDS’ new pharmacy care and patient advocacy department.
