Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and sanofi-aventis have received expanded exclusivity for the blood thinner medication Plavix. The companies said Tuesday that the Food and Drug Administration has granted an additional six-month period of exclusivity for them to market Plavix (clopidogrel bisulfate).
